Grades of Piles:

Treatment available at Shree Hospital for Piles:

  • Internal Examination of Anal Canal with Video Proctoscope
  • Laser - Laser hemorrhoidoplasty is one of the best procedures for grade 2 & 3 piles. Through anal opening, laser surgery is applied using radial giber. The emission of laser energy causes vaporization leading the hemorrhoids mass to shrink.
  • IRC – Infrared Coagulation is a procedure used for Grade II Piles. It is only useful for internal piles. This device creates an intense beam of infra red light due to heat scar tissue is formed which cut offs the blood supply to piles.
  • Rubber Band Ligation – Is a procedure in which the piles are tied off at its base with rubber bands, cutting off the blood flow to the piles. This is only used for internal piles.
  • DGHAL – This procedure is designed to eradicate piles without need for cutting .The operation uses a miniature ultrasound device to locate the blood vessels supplying the Hemorrhoids. The aim of operation is to cut off the blood supply to the Hemorrhoids. This is achieved by placing a stitch around each blood vessel. Over the following few weeks to month the piles shrink away and resolve. Some pain is to be expected for several days after the operation.
  • Stapler Surgery – This is useful in Grade III & IV Hemorrhoids. In this procedure a circular stapler device is used to lift up or reposition the prolapsed mucosa and to reduce blood flow to the internal Hemorrhoids. This internal Hemorrhoid then shrinks in few weeks.
  • Radiofrequency Ablation – Radiofrequency ablation is a medical procedure in which part of the electrical conduction system of the dysfunctional tissue is ablated using the heat generated from medium frequency alternating current.
